Have you been Tased? If you have you know what I'm about to tell is true, if not it is no party.

I recently attended a safety and security convention. During the convention there was a *TASER®® demonstration with  a police officer certified in TASER® use. The officer asked for volunteers to be Tased; I was reluctant at first but manned up and volunteered. Let me tell you I'm no little guy, however the C2 TASER® was dropping guys bigger than me.

Before telling you about my experience, let me give you a brief overview about how the C2 TASER® works.

The TASER® C2 uses a replaceable TASER® cartridge, containing compressed nitrogen, to deploy two small probes that are attached to the TASER® C2 by insulated conductive wires with a maximum length of 15 feet (4.5 meters).  The energy can penetrate up to two cumulative inches of clothing or one inch per probe.

Once deployed the C2 TASER® will deliver 30 seconds of NMI pulses to bring any attacker down.  

The key technology to disable even the most aggressive subjects, Neuro Muscular Incapacitation (NMI) temporarily overrides the command and control systems of the body to impair muscular control.

Now that you have an understanding of the way the C2 TASER® operates, here is my story:

After watching the other volunteers go down one by one, I was standing there with the thoughts "what the hell ya thinking". I have come this far I could not back out now. When I stepped up to take my turn the officer attached the probes to my shirt and asked me how long that I wanted to be Tased  ...I said 7 sec and then bang the C2 TASER® was turned on. Keep in mind that normally the probes are deployed and 30sec of NMI pulses are transmitted to the attacker.
